What makes your designs different?
We design the water treatment first and choose the equipment second, which is the opposite of fitting a standard package and hoping it suits the site. Every design starts from the specific problem in front of us, drawing on more than twenty years of experience across a wide range of supplies and buildings. The result is a system built around your water and your demand, rather than around a supplier's catalogue.
What does a system cost?
Every system is designed around your water and your demand, so there is no standard figure. We quote a fixed price after a site survey and a water analysis, and that price is what you pay.
Do your installations come with a guarantee?
Yes. Our installations carry a twelve-month guarantee, and where a system is kept on one of our service contracts, pro-rata guarantees apply beyond that period. Keeping a system under regular servicing is the surest way to protect both its performance and its longer cover.
Can you work with an existing supply or system?
Yes. We are often asked to take on a property with a supply already in place, or to improve a system that is not performing as it should. We assess what is there, keep what is sound, and design around the parts that need to change, rather than assuming everything must be replaced.
What do you need from me to begin?
To design well we need to understand four things: the source of your water, the demand and flow the system has to meet, the water quality you want to achieve, and the space available for the equipment. You do not need to have all of this to hand before you call, as we can help establish much of it through survey and sampling. The clearer the picture at the outset, the more precisely we can design.
Why design the treatment before choosing the equipment?
Because the equipment is only as good as the thinking behind it. If you select hardware before you understand the water, you tend to end up correcting the wrong things, or over-treating in some areas and under-treating in others. By fixing the treatment strategy first, we make sure each piece of equipment earns its place and works as part of a considered whole.
Do you design and install to any particular standards?
We design and install with the relevant regulations in mind, including the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999 and, where a private supply is involved, the Private Water Supplies Regulations 2009. Working to these from the outset avoids awkward and costly changes later. Where drinking water quality is central, the standards overseen by the Drinking Water Inspectorate frame what a good result looks like.
What happens after the system is installed?
We commission the system, show you how it works, and set out the servicing it will need to stay reliable. Water treatment is not a fit-and-forget purchase, and equipment such as filters, membranes and dosing needs periodic attention to keep performing. Many clients move straight onto a service contract at this point so the system is looked after from day one.
